Ms. Younger Thanking Me About My Books

My aunt Betty Thompson was also a published author. She was a high school English teacher, my mothers bridge partner and a poet. She chose to use a "Pen" name years ago calling herself "Betty Wallingford" She was one of the most upright and respected people of our community there in Marshall, MO. She passed away in 2007 but she is still much loved. I took creative writing from Ms. Patty Younger and she taught us and I learned that I can legally use a pen name if I wanted to. And I have always loved creativity. When I published my poetry book "God Keeps His Promises" back in 2009 the publisher asked me if I wanted to use a pen name and on the spur of the moment I said "Yes" thinking that it would help me to sell more books. That theory proved wrong. However, I now have blondish red hair and I've been told that my spiritual name is "Rose" which I think my mother knew because the only perfume she ever bought me was "rose perfume from J.C. Penny. I just made a CD and I wish I would have used the "pen" name on it but I cannot change some information after it is published. So now you know my reasons for why I used a pen name "~Ginger Rose~"

  Thanks again Kimi-- you were an easy student to teach-- you actually were thrilled to be there and loved learning...wanted to make a better life for you and your children. God rewarded you for your hard work and dedication by allowing you to use your gifts for His glory--as well as your own glory. As soon as school is out, I am going to purchase your books and read all of them--can't wait. BTW--my daughter's name is Emily Rose:-)
