 If She Ever Hurts You

If you didn't belong to another you would be my song
If you weren't already taken my loneliness would be gone

I must have got off track somewhere down the line
I've never been one to take what is not mine

I cannot do anything that goes against God or HIS word
So to love another woman's man is unheard of and up-surd

I hope God will somehow make it up to me
Because without you in my life I don't want to be

God help me in this dilemma so unkind
Only if life were a clock I could unwind

True love is all I want and nothing else will do
12 yrs of being single makes it worth the while too

A love that is all mine is all I will accept
A heart for no other except me is kept

Come lover long lost and take me with you
Far away to a land made just for we two

Let's fly far away to where we are meant to be
On a star or another planet in another galaxy

Some uninhabited island where tropics await
For lovers of a lifetime will find their fate

In some other lifetime somewhere far from here
You are hers here on earth and to me that is dear

To take you away from her I would rather die
I couldn't live with myself or even want to try

Please understand that is just the way it is with me
I play fair in love and war and in life throughout history

If she ever hurts you or if she goes with another man
Then I am yours for the taking to you I give my hand
